My point was not that socialized health care doesn&#39;t work but that the British version was working very badly in a prosperous first-world country, while poor Bhutan had set up with its meagre resources a basic health system that in a decade had increased life span to near-western levels, despite the harsh terrain and scattered population. <br />My experience of health care in neighbouring India where every drip-feed, pill, temperature measurement is immediately followed up by a bill, where you pay for an ambulance to take you to a hospital and where the doctors regularly recommend treatment they know won&#39;t work, would rather incline me to believe that a solely private system is not an answer. My point was to defend socialized medicine when it is properly done and appropriate to the level of a nation&#39;s resources. Italicizing can be helpful sometimes, but I've seen people italicize incorrectly and make a sentence even more confusing than they had intended! <BR/><BR/>If, for example, you italicized "better" in the sentence, I as a reader would get the impression that her hair looked great the previous time, and you're hoping to see even better hair this time. If you italicize "this" then I'd think that last time, her hair looked crummy. If you italicize "looks" then I'd think that perhaps her hair smelled good last time, despite its frizziness. <BR/><BR/>I could do this all day, but I think you get my point. <BR/><BR/>In the meantime, if you find a way to type that symbol, share the knowledge. From there I will be able to make it back to the battlefield to possible kill another United States soldier or Marine. This kind of decision seems to put more value on the opponent's life than it does on the lives of our military. I think it will be important to keep track of these instances so that our new President will have to be the one to personally inform the families that their loved one was killed due to the simple stroke of a pen that leans strongly to the left side. If I were the American soldier or Marine I would have to think twice before I took a prisoner. This too puts our military personal at risk because they might be put on trial for overstepping the rules of engagement. What it comes down to is that many lefties put more value on the lives of terrorists than they do on the lives of our very own.
