Deterrence and the threat of, not the actual use of, torture--seemed to be a useful thing; guess terrorists will just tell us everything we need to know because since we're being nice, maybe they will be too. Really?

Now, If I am fighting the United States military and my prospects of winning the battle are not looking good, it seems that it would be in my best interest to surrender on site because I will then be put on trial, with a United States government Lawyer at my side. From there I will be able to make it back to the battlefield to possible kill another United States soldier or Marine. This kind of decision seems to put more value on the opponent's life than it does on the lives of our military. I think it will be important to keep track of these instances so that our new President will have to be the one to personally inform the families that their loved one was killed due to the simple stroke of a pen that leans strongly to the left side. If I were the American soldier or Marine I would have to think twice before I took a prisoner. This too puts our military personal at risk because they might be put on trial for overstepping the rules of engagement. What it comes down to is that many lefties put more value on the lives of terrorists than they do on the lives of our very own. As to where we should put the Gitmo detainees...how about the third floor of the White House.
I can't stand the terrorists. It seems so many Americans have forgiven them for what they've done to us, and for what they still do to other people. It disgusts me to think that we're going to be lenient on them and treat them as if they are honorable fighters.
When will Democrats learn who our enemy is? It's Islamic Terrorists, not the American Right!
Off the topic--is the Marine Corp looking to replace the M203? I heard this rumor, but I haven't had it validated anywhere. Have you heard anything about this?
